In this course, comparison between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine is made based on the theory of well-being.
First of all, the Western theory of well-being has mainly to do with being happy, and that of TCM is much more versatile. Secondly, the theory of aging is compared. Thirdly, the theory of food and nutrition between these two schools are compared. Fourthly, the importance of sleep is discussed. Then, recreation and sports of TCM and Western medicine are compared. Finally, Taichi boxing is recommended for people of all ages. As to the promotion of the well-being of life, the acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs can also be adopted. As a result, the TCM theory of well-being has become more attractive and worth promoting.
