The comparison of TCM and Western Medicine Part 7 on preventive medicine
In this course, comparison between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine is made based on preventive medicine. First of all, the Western preventive medicine is equivalent to public health, while that of TCM have made clear distinction between these two. Secondly, the food and nutritional concepts of these two schools are different. Thirdly, the vaccines in epidemiology are produced and prepared differently. Fourthly, we will discuss the screening of cancer of modern time. In the mean time, the resurgence and coming back of tuberculosis and many other diseases will also be discussed. Finally, on the life expectancy, we will compare the contributions of the preventive medicine of TCM and Western medicine.
